LAUGHAPOOLOOZA: UNDER THE BIG TOP

The musical comedy hit of the 2007 returns to Melbourne and Adelaide!

Laughapoolooza, Australia's premier musical comedy event, will showcase the best international and Australian comic musicians joking, jamming and making music together in one gala style performance. You’ll never see the same show twice, with a new host each night, and a different line up of the who’s who list of the funniest performers to ever pick up an instrument.

Premiering at the 2005 Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Laughapoolooza has made its home at the Umbrella Revolution as 'the' late night comedy hub and music festival for comedy fans. It has also performed sold out runs at the 2005 Sydney Big Laugh Comedy Festival, the 2005- 07 Melbourne International Comedy Festival, 2006/2007Adelaide Fringes and the Edinburgh Fringe. In 2005, the Laughapoolooza DVD was released by Madman Entertainment.

Now in it's fourth year, Laughapoolooza's honour roll includes Tripod, Frank Woodley, Paul McDermott, Scared Weird Little Guys, Andrew Hansen from The Chaser, Sista She, Eddie Perfect and The Bedroom Philosopher to name, but a few.

With a commitment to promoting the diversity of musical comedy in a sea of stand-up comedians, Laughapoolooza celebrates all the shapes and sizes of music and comedy. More importantly, it has become the breeding ground for emerging and unknown artists. Already, Laughapoolooza has launched the comedy careers of Tim Minchin, Sam Simmons and Josh Earl, and many more. In 2008, it will continue to promote and unearth new comic musicians.
